Small business website templates for your clients
Coilhouse is a set of HTML/CSS websites for small local businesses, with ready-made versions for solar & electrical, HVAC & heat pumps, plumbing, landscaping, cleaning and any business. If you build sites for local clients, it gives you a finished structure to adapt instead of a blank page.

What you get
- All ready-made versions in one ZIP. Each has home, services, recent work, about, FAQ, contact, thank-you, privacy and 404 pages; the solar & electrical version has 12 pages including rebates, how it works and a filterable projects gallery
- A quote form with a town field, job type choices and a best-time-to-call option
- A mobile menu, a project filter and (in the solar version) a savings estimator, in about 3 KB of plain JavaScript
- Plain HTML and CSS with no framework, build step, page builder or plugin to keep updated
- A step-by-step README per version, and placeholder content written for each kind of business
Setting it up for a client
1. Find and replace the client's details
Business name, phone, email, towns, street address and licence number are all plain placeholders. The README lists each one, so one pass of Replace in Files covers the whole site.
2. Set the brand colours
The colours are CSS variables at the top of one stylesheet. Change the brand and accent colours to match the client's logo; the README notes the contrast to keep for readable buttons.
3. Swap in the client's own photos
The template ships with illustrations and labelled placeholders, not stock photos, so there is nothing to license or forget to replace. The README lists suggested shots and sizes.
4. Fill in the rebate cards or remove them
The rebates page uses placeholder amounts and a "last checked" date on each card. Fill in the programs that apply where the client works, or delete the page if they don't want it.
5. Connect the quote form
The contact form works as-is on Netlify Forms, or point it at Formspree or a similar service by changing one line. Send notifications to the client's own inbox.
6. Publish on the client's own hosting
It's static HTML, so it runs on Netlify, Vercel, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare Pages or any ordinary web host. Setting it up under the client's account makes the handoff simple.
Licences for client work
One licence covers one website for one business. Building a site for a client is fine: buy one licence for each client site. You can change the template as much as you like for that site. What you can't do is resell or share the template itself, or put it in another template or theme product. The full wording is on the terms & licence page.
Each licence is C$49, a one-time payment in Canadian dollars, with a 14-day refund if it isn't right. Your Stripe receipt can go to you or to the client's email address.
Before you buy
Look through the live demos on a phone and a desktop. If you'd like to try the code first, Coilhouse Lite is a free one-page version under the MIT licence, built the same way. There are also free guides on what local business websites and quote forms need, which can help when you plan the content with a client.
